Weekends are typically reserved for long runs and family time.  An average Saturday would have me logging a long early morning run in an attempt to finish in time to enjoy breakfast together as a family.  This weekend I skipped the run and ate doughnuts instead.  My daughters choice.  

Saturday night was spent at a neighborhood party enjoying great company and equally great cocktails, which has lead to a slow start to Sunday morning.  

April tends to be when my training schedule ramps up and I’m using this weekend as an opportunity to give my body a needed rest.
